Sarah Hurd Montgomery is an experienced legal professional who believes that compassion, integrity, and honesty are of the utmost importance when working with clients to assist them in achieving their goals. When drafting estate plans for her clients, Sarah’s priority is to walk through each step in the decision-making process so that her clients can make informed and oftentimes difficult decisions. Sarah has a sharp attention to detail, is passionate about her work and holds herself to the highest ethical standards of professional responsibility. 

 

Sarah’s legal background includes a variety of different practice areas to include estate planning, trust administration, probate, real property, construction defect and civil litigation, and insurance defense. This diverse legal background allows Sarah to provide her clients with keen advice in a variety of legal matters and the knowledge and experience to navigate challenging issues as well as routine problems encountered by her clients. Sarah’s main objective is to improve the lives of the people in our community by offering quality legal services that provide clients with peace of mind and help us all thrive.

Sarah is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) through the ANSI-accredited International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Complimenting Sarah’s estate planning practice, Sarah has been assisting clients with drafting website privacy policies to comply with California’s Online Privacy Protection Act, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, the California Consumer Protection Act, and the General Data Protection Regulation. 


Sarah graduated cum laude from Empire College School of Law in Santa Rosa, California with a Master’s Degree in Legal Studies and her Juris Doctorate. Sarah is a member of the Sonoma County Bar Association and the SCBA Trusts & Estates Section as well as the Redwood Empire Estate Planning Council. Before Sarah became an attorney, she was a freelance deposition reporter who ran her own business and then she worked as a paralegal for several years before passing the bar exam.
